Responsible Mineral Procurement Policy

Conflict metals refer to minerals from conflict mining areas in the Democratic Republic of Congo, including niobium tantalum iron ore, cassiterite, wolframite, gold, etc. These minerals are refined into tantalum (Ta), tin (Sn), tungsten (W) (abbreviated as 3T minerals), gold (Au), cobalt (Co), etc., which are respectively used in electronics and other products.

Some metal minerals have become the main source of income for armed rebel groups in the Democratic Republic of Congo in Africa, used to continue their bloody conflicts with the government and harm local civilians, thus causing international controversy.Changzhou Qinglong Electronic Components Co.,Ltd., as a global citizen, recognizes the potential risks of significant adverse effects in mining, trading, processing, and exporting mineral resources in conflict affected and high-risk areas. We also recognize our obligation to respect human rights, not contribute to conflicts, and not have negative impacts on the environment and society. Our company declares and promises not to accept the use of metals from conflict mining areas, and also requires our suppliers to:

1. We must fulfill our social and environmental responsibilities.

2. Ensure that the product does not use conflict minerals from the Congo and surrounding countries and regions.

3. Trace the sources of gold (Au), tantalum (Ta), tin (Sn), tungsten (W), and cobalt (Co) contained in all products.

4. We cannot tolerate or facilitate any serious human rights violations committed by either party in any way that benefits, fosters, assists or facilitates them.

5. We do not tolerate any direct or indirect support provided to non-state-owned organized armed groups through mining, transportation, trading, processing, or export of mineral resources.

6. Do not provide, promise, give or demand any bribes, and resist the demand for bribes. Do not bribe in order to cover up or forge the original site of mineral resources, or falsely report the taxes, fees, and franchise fees that should be paid to the government for activities such as mining, trading, processing, transportation, and export of mineral resources.

7. Not participating, intolerant, or benefiting from the extraction of resources on land without the free and prior informed consent of local and indigenous people, including miners holding legal ownership, leasing rights, concessions, or licenses.

8. Communicate this requirement to its upstream suppliers.
